The Importance of Education
According to Oxfam, 72 million children around the world are out of school, most of whom have no access to any education at all. Half of these children live in just 15 of the world's poorest countries. In the year 2000, the United Nations set a target that all children should be in primary education by the year 2015. Now, four years in advance of that target year, it is clear that we are not going to meet this goal.
Why is this happening? Why should we care? What is being done about it? And more importantly, what can we do? Join our Awareness Workshop as we explore the importance of education in the struggle against poverty through interactive activities, discussion and debate.

The workshop will be followed by a casual get-together at a local coffee shop to give everyone the chance to get to know one another and discuss the workshop in a more relaxed atmosphere. Please note that a reservation is required for all workshops.
途上国における教育
オックスファムによると、世界には7200万人もの学校に通えない子供たちがいます。このうちの半数は、世界で最も貧しいたった15の国に住んでいます。2000年に国連は、2015年までに全ての子供が初等教育を受けることができるようにするという目標を掲げました。この期限まで残り4年となった現在、目標達成が困難であることは明らかです。
なぜこのような状況にあるのでしょう？なぜこの問題は重要なのでしょうか？今まで何が成されてきたのでしょうか？そして、私たちに何ができるでしょうか？
英語でのインタラクティブなワークショップを通じて、世界における貧困と教育の問題について考え、どんな解決策が考えられるか一緒に議論してみませんか？
